Our Mission

At Centro De Acción Legal, we believe that no one should have to navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system alone. Our non-profit provides free legal assistance to immigrants including asylum, parole, and other forms of relief under U.S. immigration laws. We work with trained legal partners to ensure that those in detention, vulnerable communities, and individuals facing deportation receive the representation they need and truly deserve.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of immigrants arrive in the U.S., fleeing war, persecution, violence, political instability, and natural disasters. The immigration process can be overwhelming, especially for those who lack financial resources or legal representation. Without proper legal assistance:

• Over 70% of detained immigrants go through immigration court without a lawyer, significantly reducing their chances of a favorable outcome.
• Asylum seekers with legal representation are five times more likely to win their cases compared to those without representation.

In 2024 alone, over 1.2 million immigration cases were pending in U.S. courts, leading to delays of 4+ years in many cases.

CdAL is here to serve those in needs and change the unforeseen outcomes that usually occur with lack of no representaion. By providing pro bono legal services, we help immigrants exercise their legal rights, secure asylum, and build new lives in the United States.
